Converse Bank has operated since 1993 and develops retail and corporate banking, SME financing, mortgage and consumer lending, trade finance and investment services. The bank also focuses on remote banking through Converse Mobile, Converse Online Bank and the C360 ecosystem. Converse Bank operates under Central Bank of Armenia license No. 57.
History
1993 — Foundation
In 1993, the bank was founded as the North-Armenian Joint-Stock Bank.
1994 — Renaming
In 1994, the bank was renamed Converse Bank.
1997 — CJSC and SWIFT
In 1997, the bank was reorganized as a closed joint-stock company, became a shareholder of the Yerevan Stock Exchange and joined the SWIFT system.
2007 — New principal shareholder
In 2007, Advanced Global Investments became the principal shareholder of Converse Bank, control of the bank is associated with the Eurnekian family.
2026 — New management
In April 2026, Hrant Hakobyan was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of Converse Bank.

Hrant Hakobyan was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of Converse Bank in April 2026. He has worked at the bank since 2011, starting as an adviser to the Chief Executive Officer, becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2017 and Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2019. Before joining Converse Bank, he worked at Corporacion America and HayPost Trust Management.
