IDBank is a commercial bank in Armenia serving private clients, entrepreneurs, SMEs and corporate clients. The bank provides consumer and mortgage lending, deposits, card and payment services, money transfers, investment services and digital banking solutions.
IDBank's history dates back to 1990. From 1996, the bank operated under the Anelik Bank name, and in 2018 it was introduced to the market under the new IDBank brand with a focus on digitalization and modernization of customer service. Today, the bank is part of the ID financial group and develops retail and corporate banking, investment services and its digital ecosystem through Idram & IDBank, IDBanking.am and Rocket Line.
1990 — Foundation
On August 1, 1990, the bank was established by light industry enterprises as a joint-stock commercial bank.
1991 — Banking license
On October 1, 1991, the Central Bank of Armenia issued banking license No. 9 to the bank.
Anelik Bank
In 1996, the bank began operating as Anelik Bank LLC, and in 2007 it was reorganized as a closed joint-stock company.
2018 — IDBank rebranding
On June 4, 2018, Anelik Bank was introduced to the market under the new IDBank brand, with an emphasis on digitalization, innovation and modernization of customer service.
2026 — International presence
In 2026, IDBank is developing its international presence through a representative office in Glendale, California, which performs information and communication functions and does not provide banking services in the United States.

Chairman of the Management Board
Mher Abrahamyan has headed the Management Board of IDBank since 2019. Before joining the bank, he worked at the Central Bank of Armenia from 1999, including as Head of the Financial System Regulation Department from 2012-2018. He graduated from the Yerevan Institute of National Economy and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
2026 — Commerzbank STP Excellence Award 2025
In 2026, Commerzbank presented IDBank with the STP Excellence Award 2025 for the high quality of commercial payment processing and transfers to financial institutions during 2025.
SourceWhile the bank usually provides decent service and the app is pretty convenient to use in many cases the customer service folks need to up their game. I don’t think all of them are instructed properly about all the services that are offered. Alone the confusing explanations of ATMs vs. Terminals make me doubt that they ever use those machines themselves.
d zurfluh IDBank Source: GoogleIn my opinion, it is one of the weakest banks I have ever seen. It is not possible that you need services other than deposit and withdrawal that they do. I didn't see a bank manager inside the bank, and instead it is full of young and inexperienced girls who don't know the least about customer service and professional performance of banking duties, and instead they send you emails every day and tell you about themselves. How can a bank not hire expert managers who can do the work of citizens properly or give them advice?!!!
Artin Abrahamian IDBank Source: GoogleWhen I contacted them to open an account, they simply leaked my personal information to another bank of Russian origin (VTB). This is absurd: the bank itself did not contact me after receiving my case, but a VTB manager contacted me with all the papers to fill out, although I have never contacted VTB and do not intend to. It seems that this bank is a subsidiary of VTB, which is quite possible, since it is owned by an unknown Cypriot company, most likely an offshore company.

I have accounts in 6 banks, but the caring and precise approach has only this bank and particularly this branch. I had many issues with North avenue branch though, but it is a different story. Thanks guys, you are doing great!
